Discover what a life of Pure Imagination creates, in this biopic of the life of Michael Stroud - an extraordinary man, amazing magician and epic Japanese toy collector. His mama says he was born to be a performer, and indeed he pursued a career as a magician and performed for 45 years! He was the creative genius behind Magic Mike's Funhouse, The Magique Bazaar and Quazar and Nebula, as well as a respected performer of Bian Lian - the art of "changing face" from China. He won a dozen awards for his magic and perfomed extensively throughout the Bay Area, West Coast and around the world. You may have seen him on Romper Room, Cartoon Classics, Bill Moyers, America's Got Talent or SF Oddities, or you may have read one of 9 books he contributed to - most likely the Book of Magic by Klutz Press that sold over 2 million copies and started the journey of magic for many magicians today.
See magic unfold on stage as his signature pieces from a lifetime of magic are recreated by his long-time assistant Magic Genii (who will step into the role of magician) with Lolo and Natasha, as well as guest appearances from professional Bay Area magicians. Fontain's M.U.S.E. (co-founder of the Magique Bazaar) will be playing her unique blend of world music throughout the night. See Houdini's most famous escape - The Metamorphisis, the most magical illusion (and seldom seen), designed by the famous illusion designer, Jim Steinmeyer - The Hologram Illusion and recreations of his Magic Tonic (ventriloquilsm and magic), silent Linking Rings performed by Murloch Silvermane (current President of the Society of American Magicians #94), Okito Screen, Straight Jacket Escape and Cardz - his award-winning card manipulation act. A night to remember, filled with magic and inspiration.
What Time is It? It's Magic Time!
